This is a Contract position that requires a detail-oriented, service-focused individual who can guide patients through registration and scheduling while helping maintain accurate administrative records. The ideal candidate will balance strong communication skills with attention to detail to ensure a smooth experience for patients and care teams.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide courteous assistance throughout the registration and check-in process.
- Gather, review, and enter demographic and coverage information with a high degree of accuracy.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and make updates to calendars based on patient and clinic needs.
- Verify medical insurance details and help resolve eligibility or authorization questions when needed.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments, registration steps, and required documentation.
- Maintain organized patient access records while following established privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient daily patient flow. Requirements
- Previous experience in patient registration, patient access, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
- Working knowledge of appointment scheduling procedures in a medical environment.
- Experience verifying insurance information and identifying coverage discrepancies.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist patients in a detail-focused and compassionate manner.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when entering and updating patient information.
- Comfortable using healthcare registration or scheduling systems and standard office software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining confidentiality.
