Responsibilities The Medical Assistant provides Front/Back office duties to various pulmonary providers in an outpatient setting. Candidate must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to multiple locations. Locations include Reisterstown and Ellicott City.Front Office Duties:
Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or fees as needed. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients and other callers. Complete patient check-in and check-out processesBack Office Duties:
Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR). Provide patient education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers. RequirementsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year experience, preferrably in a medical office setting.SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel Microsoft Outlook Epic (if applicable to position) Performance Manager/NetLearning Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.Other Requirements:
