Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as one of the first points of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks with efficiency and professionalism. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive experience at the front desk Schedule appointments using medical office management software such as Cerner and Epic Review and update medical records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Collect payments and perform medical collection activities to ensure timely reimbursement Manage phone communications professionally using multi-line phone systems and maintain clear documentation of patient interactions Support clinical staff by preparing care plans and reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA policies Maintain filing systems for medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Perform administrative duties such as data entry, typing reports, and managing office supplies to keep the clinic running smoothly Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or similar role within a healthcare setting, including clinic or hospital experience Duties will include assisting the Providers with in office procedures, cleaning rooms between and after the patients. Light daily closing cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping and trashes. Having some knowledge of medical charting is preferred but willing to train the right candidate Ability to review medical documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and data entry tasks Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patient care while advancing your career in a dynamic healthcare environment.
