Patient Service Representative (Front Desk) Seacoast Vision Care | Scarborough, Maine At Seacoast Vision Care, we believe exceptional patient care begins the moment someone walks through our door. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and service-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team. What You'll Do As a Patient Service Representative, you will serve as one of the first and last points of contact for our patients.
Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients warmly and making them feel welcomed from the moment they arrive Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patients with scheduling, questions, and office needs Checking patients in and out efficiently and accurately Scheduling appointments while helping patients understand their options for care Collecting copays, balances, and payments while ensuring accurate documentation Verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations for upcoming appointments Assisting patients with questions regarding our services, including dry eye treatment and neuro-optometric rehabilitation Managing recalls, appointment confirmations, online communications, and patient correspondence Processing referrals, medical records requests, incoming faxes, and provider communications Utilizing Microsoft Outlook and practice management software to maintain accurate patient records Supporting other departments as needed, including optical and clinical teams Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional office environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Enjoys helping people and providing outstanding customer service Communicates professionally and compassionately Is highly organized and detail-oriented Thrives in a busy healthcare environment Works well independently and as part of a team Is comfortable learning new technology and software systems Demonstrates reliability, accountability, and professionalism Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA guidelines Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of medical office experience Experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification Experience collecting patient payments and discussing financial responsibilities Optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare experience preferred Strong computer and multitasking skills About Seacoast Vision Care Seacoast Vision Care is a growing optometry practice serving Southern Maine. We provide comprehensive eye examinations, medical eye care, specialty contact lens services, dry eye treatment, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation.

Monday-Thursday:
8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Friday:
