Job Description

$20.15+ an hour (adjusted based on education, experience, and skill) In this position you will be responsible for processing and coordinating referrals and diagnostic orders to internal or external service providers. Serves as a liaison between providers, specialty provider offices, hospitals, patients, and families. We offer competitive wages based on experience and up to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year! EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
(This list may not be all inclusive.) 1. Manages flow of incoming and outgoing communications with providers, clinical support staff, patients, and external offices (i.e. phone, fax, email, tasks, and instant messaging). 2. Assembles patient's medical information and history needed to complete a diagnostic order or referral. 3. Schedules diagnostic testing and processes referrals per medical order. 4. Educates patients on pre-test or referral instructions and any other pertinent information. 5. Obtains prior authorizations for designated testing and referrals, as required. 6. Manages and tracks tests and referrals until scheduled. 7. Educates patients and staff about managed care and coverage. 8. Connects patients to resources to remove barriers to care (e.g. transportation). 9. Documents concise and appropriate information in the medical record. 10. Requirements:
High school Diploma or GED Minimum of one year in a healthcare setting GH26
