Job Description

This position has the responsibility or coordinating all registration responsibilities, including incoming communications, scheduling patients, registering patients for KMA care in order to ensure the patient flow is efficient and meets patient, medical staff, and billing staff expectations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have computer skills. Medical terminology preferred. Experience in a medical office required. Personality and demeanor to deal with the public and assist ill, distraught patients. Good office and organization skills. Able to lead people. KMHC is looking for a Medical Office Coordinator . As a Medical Office Coordinator, you will: Supports the mission, vision and values of KMHC. Maintains confidentiality of information and records. Maintains a courteous and professional attitude in all contacts including patients, visitors, medical staff, coworkers and other members of the public. Ensure incoming communication is attended to promptly using professional, appropriate methods. This includes in-person visits, telephone and electronic visits as well. Acts as a Front Office Receptionist and fulfills those responsibilities. Is interactive with the medical and accounts receivable teams to ensure front office intake meets expectations. Assists in developing, ensuring implementation of policies and operating practices applicable to KMA registration staff. Implements ongoing training for responsible areas of RHC. Implements ongoing training to meet patient care medical home criteria. Maintains registration staffing schedule and ensures results meet KMA patient flow expectations. Participates in the hiring of registration staff. Responsible for ensuring informative and meaningful daily and weekly huddles are held. Provides support to ensure the patient experience is very good. Develops and provides job aides for registration processes. Responsible for orientating new registration staff.
