PATIENT ACCESS
Part Time - Patient Access Representative II 48 hours/pay Nights 7:00pm-7:00am (12-hour shifts) Partial Benefits Scheurer Hospital, a critical access rural hospital, is looking for a part time Patient Access II Representative.
Responsibilities:
Register inpatient, swing bed, and observation patients Schedule outpatient department visits and educate patients on any necessary prep instructions Submit data for Consumer Products May work as a receptionist or registrar if needed May work different shifts as needed Collect payments at the time of registration and maintain the Michigan standard of error-free accounts Abide by the Scheurer Health Behavioral Standards Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
