REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1-2 years experience in a medical office or healthcare billing role Hands-on experience with Medicare billing (claims, eligibility, pre-certs) Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience scheduling patients in a clinical setting Familiarity with HIPAA compliancePREFERRED

) Experience billing other health insurance plans Prior work in behavioral health or outpatient clinics Experience with EHR / practice management software (name it if applicable) Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, Kareo, AdvancedMD, etc.) Insurance portals and electronic claims submission Scheduling software used in medical clinicsPOSITION SUMMARY
Full-time medical front desk and billing role in a clinical healthcare setting This position is intended for candidates with prior healthcare office and insurance billing experience Applicants without medical office or insurance billing experience will not be consideredSCHEDULE & STATUS
Full-time position, 28-40 hours per week Monday to Thursday initially Friday hours may be added with experience and performanceCOMPENSATION
Pay scale commensurate with experiencePRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform front desk and medical billing duties in a healthcare clinic Schedule new and returning patient appointments using appropriate appointment types Coordinate patient care between EmoLogic Clinic and referring offices Obtain insurance benefit and eligibility information Complete pre-certifications and authorizations as required Process Medicare billing and billing for other health insurance plans Ensure accurate and timely data entry for patient and insurance records Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and referring offices Maintain compliance with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and office policies Participate in staff trainings and meetings Review daily summary reports and internal communicationsEDUCATION
