Dental Services Position Summary Access Family Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Dental Mobile Unit Patient Service Representative (PSR) who is interested in cross-training as a Dental Assistant . This unique role combines front-office patient service responsibilities with hands-on clinical support opportunities within our Mobile Dental Unit. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with diverse patient populations, traveling to community locations, and learning new skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:

Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars. Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information. Collect co-pays and process payments. Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system. Coordinate patient flow and assist with administrative tasks. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Dental Assistant Cross-Training Responsibilities:

Participate in on-the-job training to develop dental assisting skills. Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient care. Assist dental providers during procedures as directed. Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards. Prepare and organize dental materials and supplies. Educate patients on oral health and post-treatment instructions. Support mobile unit operations and setup as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Customer service, administrative, medical office, or dental office experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable learning new clinical skills and procedures. Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills. Ability to travel with the Mobile Dental Unit to community locations. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous healthcare, dental, or patient registration experience. Bilingual skills are a plus. Interest in pursuing a career in dental assisting or healthcare.
