Full-Time ACCESS Family Care is seeking a friendly, dependable, and patient-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team at the Lamar Medical Clinic. The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in creating a positive patient experience by serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately. Verify patient demographics and insurance information. Collect copays and process patient payments. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system. Assist providers and clinical staff with administrative support as needed. Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous customer service experience required. Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or patient registration role is preferred. Strong computer and data entry skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $24.00 per hour , with placement in the range determined by the candidate's previous patient service, medical office, scheduling, registration, and healthcare-related experience.
