Duties Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Serve as the primary contact for patient inquiries via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, medical history, and treatment plans while ensuring strict confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) Assist healthcare providers with medical administrative support, including data entry, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification Monitor compliance with health regulation policies and assist in implementing updates to procedures and documentation standards Support billing processes by verifying insurance coverage and explaining health insurance policies to patients Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations and effective patient management Requirements Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR) systems Strong understanding of health regulation policies and compliance standards within healthcare environments Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and written correspondence Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient information in accordance with privacy laws Experience supporting medical administrative tasks such as typing reports, managing client communication, and verifying insurance details Knowledge of health insurance policies and billing procedures is highly desirable Previous health care office experience with two years is prefered.
