Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Admissions Clerk to join our team. The Admissions Clerk is responsible for managing the admissions process of a healthcare facility. They must ensure that all patients are properly registered, their medical history is obtained and entered into the system, and they are directed to the appropriate department or service.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Collect and verify patient information including demographic and insurance information Verify insurance coverage and benefits Obtain signatures from patients or guardians for consent forms Answer phone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff members Coordinate transportation for patients if necessary Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent Prior experience in healthcare or customer service (preferred) Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology

Full-time Pay:
$11.00 - $12.50 per hour
