Summary of Performance Expectations:
Responsible for determining the financial eligibility for patients without or with limited insurance coverage.
Education & Credentials:
Required High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred Associate degree in Business Administration or Social Services .
Work Experience:
Required Two or more years direct customer service experience. Knowledge of medical financial assistance agencies. Demonstrated proficiency of record keeping and interviewing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures. Given experience and on-the-job training, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the position within three months. of employment date. Preferred Knowledge of financial eligibility programs, copay assistance programs and drug replacement programs. Experience in all Microsoft Office products, Meditech Experience
