Sterling Medical is currently looking for Medical Office Clerk positions for the Hampton VA Healthcare System 1845 West City Dr., Elizabeth City, NC Great Pay!! 2 weeks PTO, Benefits offered, and 11 Paid Federal Holidays! Clinic Hours-M-F, 8:00 am-4:30pm, 8 hr. shifts( 40 hour weeks, no OT)
SUMMARY :
Provides clerical/administrative support. Schedules appointments, In addition to scheduling requested appointments, this position will call patients to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments as needed, to include appointments for consult/referral specialty care, ability to multitask is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory knowledge and skills:
  • A fully qualified typist (computer keyboard) with a minimum of 40 WPM is required.
  • telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephones.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office-Excel and word.
Education:
  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
Experience:
  • Minimum (6) months of experience in clerical, office customer service, or other administrative work.
  • Be able to type at least 40 wpm.
