Click HERE to contact our in-house Physician Recruiter FirstHealth of the Carolinas - a private, not-for-profit premier health care network serving the mid-Carolinas - is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide inpatient behavioral health coverage one to two weekends per month at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.
Position Highlights:
Hospital-employed (W-2) PRN position. Join a collaborative team providing care on a 30-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit. Average daily census in the mid-20s, shared among providers. Responsibilities include inpatient psychiatric rounding and behavioral health consultations in both the hospital and Emergency Department. Strong physician and advanced practice provider support in a collegial practice environment. Flexible weekend schedule, typically one to two weekends per month. Competitive PRN compensation. Located in the desirable Pinehurst/Southern Pines area, within an hour of Raleigh, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Lumberton, and Laurinburg, and approximately two hours from Charlotte.Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA certification required for PAs. PMHNP certification required for Nurse Practitioners. Minimum of two years of behavioral health experience strongly preferred. Eligible for North Carolina licensure and DEA registration. CurrentAHA ACLS
certification required. Excellent communication, patient care, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Why FirstHealth?
