Overview Brighter Start Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate EMDR Clinician to join our outpatient behavioral health team in a contract capacity. This position is ideal for a clinician who specializes in trauma-focused treatment and is passionate about helping clients process traumatic experiences, develop effective coping skills, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. Position Overview The EMDR Clinician will provide individual outpatient therapy to clients experiencing trauma-related concerns and other behavioral health needs. The clinician will utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as appropriate while incorporating evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approaches. This is a contract role offering flexibility while allowing the clinician to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Key Responsibilities Provide individual outpatient mental health counseling services. Provide EMDR therapy to clinically appropriate clients. Utilize trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Assess client progress and modify treatment approaches as clinically indicated. Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation. Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other required documentation within established timeframes. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team when clinically appropriate. Identify and respond appropriately to safety concerns, including completing risk assessments and coordinating higher levels of care when necessary. Maintain all required professional licenses, certifications, and continuing education requirements. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Current and unrestricted clinical license in North Carolina appropriate for independent outpatient practice. EMDR certification preferred. Experience providing trauma-focused outpatient therapy. Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills. Knowledge of HIPAA, professional ethics, confidentiality, and applicable state and federal behavioral health regulations. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns is a plus. Contract Position This is a contract clinician position. Scheduling and caseload will be discussed based on organizational needs and clinician availability. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on qualifications, experience, credentials, and the agreed-upon service structure.
