Patient Access Representative I (PAS)
Job Summary:
The Patient Access Representative I (PAS) will perform outpatient and inpatient registration functions. You will provide general information to hospital users, patients, and families, ensures that patients meet financial requirements or assist in payment plan, provide excellent patient focused customer service, communicate effectively to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and customer service.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Customer Service/Information Desk Up-Front Collections/Cashier Emergency Department Registration Outpatient Registration Outpatient Surgery and Special Procedure Inpatient & Observation Registration Insurance Verification Other duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead. Required Skills and Abilities:
Clear, effective communication skills with others Knowledge of medical terminology Detail orientation Previous experience required in one or more of these settings: Customer Service Setting Hospital or Clinic setting Ability to work cooperatively with people and to maintain an objective attitude. Ability to exercise tact and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required A minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare or customer service setting is preferred with a work record that demonstrates:

N/A Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing, bending and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
