Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Patient Service Representative to join our Rowe Health Center. As a PSR, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, handling tasks such as greeting, scheduling appointments, managing insurance information, processing referrals, and obtaining prior authorizations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Processes incoming and outgoing telephone calls efficiently and as politely as possible. Greets patients and visitors and has patients fill out appropriate forms, checking for any missing or changed information. Updates patients' demographics, insurance and payments status as necessary. Collects copayments/balances from patients. Reviews with patient any overdue balance on the account and assists with payment plan options. Works with patients to resolve any billing concerns. Obtains prior authorizations from insurance payers and processes provider orders and referrals according to clinic protocols. Books follow-up appointments and other appointments as necessary with patients. Performs scanning, filing and other administrative duties/tasks. Orders and tracks office supplies. Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
