Job Description

Join a patient-focused medical office that is seeking a team member with following responsibilities: Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of patient care Greet and check in patients Schedule and confirm appointments Coordinate schedules according to guidelines and physicians availability Enter and verify accurate patient demographics and insurance information in EMR Perform insurance eligibility verification Answer incoming calls, log communication and route calls to appropriate team member as needed Returns all routine patient calls within 24 hours and urgent calls the same day Collect, process and document patient payments at point of service Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to other offices on occasion ________________________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications High school or equivalent or higher Prior experience in medical out-patient setting (preferred) Experience working with Electronic Health Record systems (preferred) Knowledge of insurance (preferred) US work authorization (Required) _________________________________________________________________________________________ Skills Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Excellent customer service Must be respectful and honest Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively Must handle and maintain all patient medical, financial and personal information confidential according to HIPAA regulations Able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be reliable and punctual Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Organized, accountable, self-motivated, and attentive to detail _________________________________________________________________________________________

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
