Job Description

About Us We are a busy, patient-focused family medicine clinic powered by two dedicated physicians. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. If you excel at multitasking, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in keeping administrative operations running seamlessly, we would love to meet you! Position Overview This role primarily focuses on managing electronic medical records, processing high-volume incoming and outgoing faxes, and coordinating specialist referrals. You will play a vital role in ensuring patient care plans move forward without delay while providing general administrative support to our clinical team. On-the-job medical assistant training is provided.
Key Responsibilities Referral Coordination:
Prepare, submit, and track outgoing specialist referrals and electronic orders to ensure timely patient care.
Fax & Document Management:
Sort, assign, and upload incoming faxes into our electronic records system; maintain neat and easily accessible digital patient charts.
Communication:
Answer incoming phone calls to take messages, answer general inquiries, or route calls to appropriate staff members.
General Administrative Support:
Assist with daily office workflows, organization procedures, and other operational duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong computer literacy and basic familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Preferred:
Prior experience in a medical office or knowledge of medical terminology (not required—we are willing to train the right candidate!). Benefits & Schedule Hands-on clinical training provided. Supportive, team-oriented work environment. Day shift / In-person. Monday to

9am to 5pm
Job Types:
