The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation at the front desk. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in medical office management systems.
- Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the clinic.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical staff.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Process patient information accurately in electronic health record systems.
- Assist with medical billing as needed, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication within the clinic.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical insurance billing practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using computerized systems for scheduling and record management.
- Strong phone etiquette skills to handle patient inquiries effectively.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff alike.
- Knowledge of hospital procedures or systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
