Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to identify a Patient Service Representative for an immediate 8-week contract opportunity in Doylestown, PA. This role is ideal for an administrative healthcare professional who thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment and enjoys providing exceptional patient service while supporting daily practice operations. This position is on-site, Monday through Friday 8am - 4:40pm. The Patient Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and clinical staff, ensuring efficient communication, accurate documentation, and seamless appointment scheduling. Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming patient phone calls, voicemails, and email inquiries in a professional and timely manner Schedule patient appointments and coordinate provider calendars Collect, review, and organize medical records and supporting documentation Track incoming referrals and ensure timely follow-up and proper documentation Monitor and respond to patient communications and practice correspondence Upload and manage patient records, images, and clinical documentation within designated systems Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information Support front-office operations and perform additional administrative duties as assigned Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and established healthcare compliance standards Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office, physician practice, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred Strong patient service and communication skills Experience scheduling appointments and managing high call volumes Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred Strong organizational and documentation skills Reliable attendance and ability to commit to the full 8-week assignment Must be able to commute within 30 minutes of the practice location Training Requirements Selected candidates will participate in required onboarding and training, including: HIPAA Training Module (approximately 15 minutes) Mandatory 4-day PennChart Scheduling Training Onsite Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM daily Successful completion of end-of-training assessment required Retest opportunities available if needed Important Assignment Requirements Candidates must be available to complete all onboarding and compliance requirements immediately upon offer acceptance Medical screenings and drug testing must be initiated within 72 hours of acceptance Compliance requirements must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the start date Any planned time off must be disclosed at the time of submission Candidates must be available for the full duration of the contract assignment This temporary opportunity offers an excellent chance to gain experience within a highly respected healthcare organization while supporting a busy specialty practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.   • Previous experience in patient registration, patient access, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction, documentation, and email correspondence.
  • Ability to manage scheduling tasks, calendar coordination, and high-volume phone activity with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with medical records, referrals, and healthcare documentation practices.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA-regulated environments and the importance of confidentiality and compliance.
  • Comfortable using office and scheduling systems to review information, enter updates, and maintain accurate records.
  • Reliable time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an onsite setting.
