Job Description
Come join our team at LMG Family Practice. We are a large, busy, privately owned, well-established family practice with three locations. The primary location is in Lansdale, PA. We are seeking an experienced Patient Service Representative. Our Patient Service Representatives are the faces of the practice. They give the first and last impression when patients arrive and leave our office. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing, and professional individual to join our team.
Job responsibilities include:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using NextGen software.
- Answer telephones in a pleasant, professional, courteous, and knowledgeable manner
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare facilities as needed.
- Enter charges
- Electronic chart filing
- Verifying demographics, making any updates as needed
- Collect and post co-pays and patient payments.
- Able to work one evening a week and one weekend a month.
- Experience with ICD10 and CPT codes a plus.
- Some experience with Billing and Coding a plus Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical office setting preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- High level of organization skills
- Knowledge of and verifying insurances
- EMR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.
- Experience with Navinet, Availity, and Revenue
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
