Cuda, DO—a thriving South Philadelphia internal medicine and primary care practice built on proactive health, disease prevention, and individualized patient care. We are seeking a highly organized, driven, and patient-focused Lead Medical Office Receptionist to serve as the operational backbone of our internal medicine practice. In this key role, you will act as the provider's dedicated "go-to" person, managing day-to-day front desk operations while driving critical value-based care initiatives. From greeting patients and ordering supplies to streamlining clinical referrals and closing quality care gaps, you will bridge administrative efficiency and high-touch patient support. Key Responsibilities Provider Support & Practice Operations Serve as the primary "go-to" administrative partner for the provider, ensuring seamless communication between clinical staff and the front desk. Manage practice inventory by monitoring, ordering, and organizing all front office and general supplies within budget. Oversee daily front desk flow, including patient check-in/check-out, multi-line phone management, scheduling, and co-pay collection. Train, mentor, and guide reception staff on front desk workflows, customer service standards, and EHR best practices. Value-Based Care & Quality Initiatives Drive practice participation in value-based care programs and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) quality measures. Coordinate timely post-discharge follow-up care for patients transitioning back from hospitals or sub-acute facilities. Proactively outreach to and schedule patients to convert eligible visits into Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs). Collaborate with physicians and ACO quality teams to support practice-specific business and clinical workflow enhancements. Referrals & Patient Access Process, track, and complete incoming and outgoing patient referrals, ensuring necessary clinical documentation is transmitted. Coordinate insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and coverage checks to prevent delays in patient care. Resolve patient inquiries, billing questions, and front-office service issues with discretion and tact.
