Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform general office functions, such as, greeting patients, filing, answering telephones, paperwork, typing
  • Record patient admissions, discharges and transfer in compliance with DSA and CODAC guidelines; and establish and maintain computerized patient record and schedule patient appointments
  • Verify patient insurance coverage as needed
  • Responsible for verification and eligibility of insurance coverage
  • Responsible for collection of patient fees
  • Assume duties of the Office Manager in her/his absence
  • Obtain and maintain proficiency in Motivational Interviewing
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities
  • Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
