The full-time Front Desk Ambassador is responsible to coordinate the patient check-in and check-out process in a pleasant, consistent and efficient manner and will make patients and visitors feel comfortable and welcome at CNOS.
General Duties:
Check for completion of new patient forms and questionnaires and assist patients with filling out forms when necessary. Obtain, verify and load identity, demographic and insurance information. Collect x-rays, medical records, disability forms and other reports from patient and route to clinical personnel. Verify compliance with referral requirements for patients covered by managed care plans and worker's compensation. Communicate with patients regarding provider's timeliness of clinic. Handle collection of co-payments, deductibles and balances. Schedule follow-up appointments and assist in managing recall appointments, appointment scheduling functions. Prepare daily clinic therapy charts; type notes for patients Phys Ed, Return to Work, Handicap Parking, Orthopedic disability forms, etc. Quick post all monies received. Balance cash drawer and batch daily. Knowledge /
Skills/ Abilities:
Knowledge of reception and scheduling tasks, clinic policies/procedures and paperwork. Maintain proficiency in Outlook, Allscripts EHR & PM, Phreesia. Knowledge of secretarial/clerical duties, including data entry, filing and phone etiquette. Possess the ability to communicate clearly. Ability to accurately input data into computer at a very efficient rate of speed. Excellent customer service skills, knowledge of medical terminology
Requirements:
Minimum of one-year experience in customer service setting, preferably six months receptionist experience in health care setting. Travel between multiple CNOS locations, as needed. If you are interested in this position, please complete an application at www.cnos.net.
