In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Your expertise in medical administrative support, electronic health records management, and patient service will help facilitate seamless clinic operations. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and billing procedures to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy. Verify patient insurance coverage, using EMR MOD MED and Availity. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and manage documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing medical records, assisting with orders, obtaining authorizations, and coordinating patient follow-up activities. Utilize computer skills to update patient information in EMR/EHR systems and generate reports using Microsoft Office tools. Manage phone communication with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Data entry, chart audit, and filing Vitals Limited patient care Assist with instrument sterilzation Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar medical administrative support role within a clinical setting. Strong knowledge of medical billing, health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers. Familiarity with EMR systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to review documentation accurately and efficiently. Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and data entry skills. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle front desk duties, appointment scheduling, and phone communication professionally. Clinic experience combined with clerical experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
