Job Title:
Medical Assistant/Receptionist Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist for our clinic. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing support to healthcare providers and ensuring seamless operations in a healthcare setting. Our family atmosphere is inviting and fun, you get to work in the office side by side with the providers while wearing scrubs. We are growing our primary care lines to include men's health, weight loss, iv therapy, hormone therapy and more.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication:
Coordinate with patients to schedule telehealth appointments, ensuring accurate timing and information exchange. Provide clear instructions to patients regarding telehealth procedures, technical requirements, and pre-appointment preparations. Assist patients with any inquiries or concerns they may have before, during, or after telehealth appointments.
Administrative Support:
Manage electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Update patient information, medical histories, and insurance details as necessary. Handle billing tasks, including verifying insurance coverage and processing payments.
Telehealth Facilitation:
Set up and maintain telehealth software and equipment, ensuring smooth virtual consultations. Troubleshoot technical issues for patients and healthcare providers during telehealth sessions. Coordinate with IT support for resolving complex telehealth-related problems.
Clinical Assistance:
Assist healthcare providers during telehealth appointments by preparing necessary medical equipment and documents. Effectively take vital signs and perform injections/IV Facilitate remote patient assessments by accurately documenting vital signs and medical histories. Relay patient concerns and questions to healthcare providers during telehealth consultations.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with telehealth regulations and guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and security standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of telehealth services. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to address any challenges or issues in telehealth delivery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a medical assistant required. Proven experience in a healthcare setting, with proficiency in medical terminology and procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic medical record systems. Ability to adapt to changing technology and telehealth protocols. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
