Job Description
Medical Office Staff Duties:
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Cross training to assist with medical receptionist duties, verifying insurance information, assisting with medical authorizations as needed, and referrals.
- Utilizing electronic medical record systems to update patient information and schedule appointments
- Performing general tasks, including answering phones, data entry, faxing, scanning, and photocopying
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office and doing insurance authorizations
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping This position offers competitive pay based on experience.
