In this vital role, you will serve as the frontline representative, managing patient interactions, medical records, and insurance verifications with professionalism and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure seamless clinic operations, accurate documentation, and excellent patient service. Duties Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk, ensuring smooth scheduling and appointment coordination using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify insurance coverage and collect payments. Review medical documentation for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with electronic health records (EHR) management by updating patient information, filing medical records, and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Provide exceptional patient service through phone communication, appointment scheduling, and addressing inquiries with professional phone etiquette. Support clinical staff by coordinating referrals and prior authorizations, reviewing documentation, and facilitating communication between providers and patients. Utilize computer skills to perform clerical tasks, filing documents accurately, and managing health information efficiently. Experience Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and health information management policies. Bilingual (English and Spanish) abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Excellent customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and clinical confidentiality policies. Competency in Microsoft Office applications for administrative support tasks such as report writing and data management.
