Job Description

The hours of this position will range from 32-40 per week. Shift 7:45am-5:15pm (Lunch 12pm-1pm). Ability to leave early or come in late depending on patient scheduling.
Job Title:
Patient Care Coordinator General Summary of Duties:
Various administrative duties such as billing, customer service, scheduling, answering phones, responding to messages and scanning documents.
Supervisor :
Office Manager Major Responsibilities/Tasks:
Patient Check-in/Check-out Greeting and rooming patients Taking and charting patient vital signs. Assisting with or performing simple treatments such as nebulizers, insufflations, or swabs. Filling out requisition forms and prepping test kits for patients. Check patient encounter note for tests, labs, next appointments and/or supplements before the patient leaves the office. Creating invoices for all purchases/services and processing payment. Completion of daily task checklist. Collecting the annual membership free from patients. Handling/resolving difficult patient conversations regarding treatment and care. Delegating tasks to appropriate personnel.
Supplements:
Assist patients with selecting and purchasing supplements based on their recommendations. Fulfill orders
General Office Procedures:
Scan documents Answer phone and take care of patient needs or transfer to appropriate person if necessary. Listen to voicemail messages and call the patient back or forward to appropriate person if necessary. Check patient portal requests at least 3 times daily. Scheduling Patients Properly organize and manage patient documentation both in paper form and in virtual chart.
Billing:
Prepare and process invoices and estimates.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience:
At least 1 year of administrative or related experience. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation for effective written communication.
Abilities:
Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff. Ability to organize and manage patient materials properly. Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands. Ability to focus under stressful conditions. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to complete all tasks properly under fast-paced conditions. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to work with little supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Equipment Operated:
Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment:
Position is in a well-lit office environment. Varied activities including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
Involves a proportional amount of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. Reaching, bending and lifting files/equipment of up to 20 pounds is also occasionally involved. May require working under stressful and fast-paced conditions. This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements.
