Summit Brain, Spine and Orthopedics is a neurosurgery and orthopedic practice in Utah County. We have dedicated providers and surgeons who use innovative surgical procedures to provide the best patient care. We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team of all-star employees in Lehi. We are looking for someone who can commit to 20-30 hours within the working hours of 8 am - 5 pm on weekdays. We will work with you to build a schedule that works for both of us. This is an hourly role and there are no health insurance or 401k benefits for this position. The mission of the Coordinator is to provide excellent patient care and be a team player while providing a wide variety of front office duties. RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet patients and check them in for appointments. Answer patient calls and texts. Create new patient charts and correctly enter demographics. Assist with electronic filing, medical records requests, and image audits. Maintain patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA). Assist with appointment scheduling. Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
NECESSARY SKILLS & ABILITIES
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff. Maintain composure while working under high pressure. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive company culture. Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to change. Excel in communication, time management, and computer skills. Must be accurate with attention to detail. Be compassionate and kind with patients. Work well in a team environment and add positivity. Be able to triage priorities and ask for help if needed. De-escalate conflict quickly and efficiently. Exhibit problem-solving skills to research and resolve problems.
