Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the front office operations and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members
  • Obtain insurance prior authorizations for urgent treatments
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and processing
  • Perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Ensure the reception area is clean and presentable at all times
Experience:
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, but not required
  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
  • Proficiency in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and calendar management
  • Experience with phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
  • Knowledge of medical receptionist duties is a plus
  • Knowledge of insurance verification is a plus.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records and Practice Management Software such as Modernizing Medicine or Eyefinity is a plus
  • Strong phone etiquette skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
