1 Description American Traveler is seeking a NICU Respiratory Therapist with Level

III NICU

experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Montgomery, AL. Details Work at a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Primary Stroke Center designation in Montgomery, AL NICU patient population with some adult respiratory coverage as needed Uses Cerner EMR; experience preferred Ventilators used include

PB 840, PB

980, Drager VN500, LTV, and Airvo Medication dispensing via Omnicell; patient monitoring via Spacelabs 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 48 standard hours per week Every other weekend rotation required Voluntary call available NICU RTs may also be assigned to adult respiratory patients when needed One major and one minor seasonal holiday coverage required per facility policy Requirements Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS and APLS preferred RRT credential preferred; CRT considered with at least 2 years of experience Minimum 2 years of experience required; candidates with only 1 year of experience will not be considered Level

III NICU

experience within the past 12 months required Experience with ground transports and Nitric Oxide administration required; transport experience preferred First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience and Cerner or Epic EMR experience AL license required if applicable One reference from a charge nurse or above from within the past 12 months required for consideration DOB (day and month) required for consideration Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy services in the Level III NICU, including ground transports and Nitric Oxide administration An interview is required prior to any offer being extended New travelers to the facility receive 24 hours of classroom orientation followed by 24 hours of on-unit training; orientation for returning travelers depends on time away Up to 7 days of time off may be requested, excluding blackout dates Any scrub color is acceptable except bright or neon colors Free parking is available in a parking deck on-site Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible Former permanent staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
