The Bronchoscopy Lab PFT respiratory therapist oversees the day-to-day operations and scheduling of bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing procedures. They are responsible for assisting in various diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures as well as performing routine and provocation pulmonary function testing on inpatient and outpatient referrals. Additionally, they work with a multidisciplinary team to include Pulmonologists, nurses, CRNAs, and cytologists. Bronchoscopy Lab•

PFT Respiratory Therapist Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical, Associate, or Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Graduate for an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy programCurrent license with the Arkansas State Medical Board and Registered through the Nation Board of Respiratory Care2+ years of respiratory therapy experience

Regulatory Requirements:

BLS required upon hire or before patient care, ACLS required within 6 months of hire, PALS/NRP preferredExperience in critical care areasExperience with Microsoft officeMust be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently, maintain a high level of accuracy, and have the ability to handle confidential materialStrong communication skills Ability to work well under pressureAbility to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists. Assess patient needs and adjust treatment plans as necessaryExperience performing pulmonary function testing preferredExperience assisting with bronchoscopy procedures preferred
