A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) PRN Evenings | Surprise Rehab PAM Health, LLC - 3.1 Surprise, AZ Job Details PRN 1 hour ago Qualifications BLS Certification ACLS Certification High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Shifts will be from 3 pm to 11:30 pm. We are looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. At PAM Health, we care for chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. PAM Health has over 80 hospital locations and employs over 11,000 people across the country. Our teams work together to deliver the highest level of compassionate care ensuring the best possible outcome for our patients. The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.

Education and Training:

Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.

Experience:

Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
