A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

  • Full-time Respiratory Therapy leadership position within a major health system
  • Manage respiratory therapy operations, staff, clinical quality, and performance
  • Oversee delivery of respiratory care in an inpatient hospital environment
  • Lead staffing, workflow, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
  • Work with multidisciplinary leadership on operational and clinical priorities

  • 222K base salary

  • Minimum 3 years of inpatient Respiratory Therapy management experience — must be management, not supervisory experience
  • Recent experience working in a union environment required
  • Must have experience with both adult inpatient care and Level
III NICU
  • California Respiratory Care Practitioner license
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • BLS required
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
  • Strong background in respiratory therapy operations, clinical standards, staffing, and quality improvement Ideal Background Candidates coming from a large hospital or health system with a comparable inpatient respiratory program will be strongest.
