A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Manager, Respiratory Therapy Onsite San Francisco, CA Salary:
USD $191,000 - $222,000 / yr
Job Summary:
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for managing teams in the provision of respiratory care services; identifying external developments in respiratory equipment and providing innovative solutions to meet the needs of the patient; developing, implementing, and monitoring respiratory care goals and objectives and pulmonary standards; and overseeing respiratory care services across multiple sites and/or a single site.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration, or a related field AND minimum four (4) years of experience in health care, customer service, business or a directly related field, with two (2) of those years being in respiratory therapy Minimum seven (7) years of experience in respiratory therapy or a directly related field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California) required at hire Basic Life Support required at hire Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate required at hire
Pay:
$180,000.00 - $222,000.00 per year
