RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner SQL data Solutions Inc - 4.0 Vacaville, CA Job Details Full-time | Contract $40 - $45 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications BLS Certification Care documentation Quality improvement State-specific respiratory therapist license Patient care RCP License Full Job Description We are currently hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to provide respiratory care services at a California correctional facility. This is an onsite temporary/relief opportunity offering competitive pay and the opportunity to work in a structured healthcare environment. Qualifications Minimum 12 continuous months of RCP experience within the last 3 years in a public or private healthcare institution. Current and valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Current NBRC credential. Current BLS certification. Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory care and treatments according to physician orders and established clinical procedures. Set up respiratory equipment and educate patients on proper use. Evaluate patient respiratory conditions and assist with treatment recommendations. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records. Monitor respiratory equipment and recommend equipment or supply needs. Participate in training, quality improvement, and other clinical activities as required. Follow all facility policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
