Desired Qualifications:
Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Active respiratory therapy license Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist in acute care or hospital settings Thorough knowledge of ventilator management, oxygen therapy, airway care, and arterial blood gas analysis Strong communication and critical thinking skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Core Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care interventions according to physician orders and patient needs Administer and monitor therapeutic procedures, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy Conduct patient assessments and provide patient and family education on respiratory treatments Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and communicate findings to medical teams Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and interventions in medical records Ensure all equipment is maintained, calibrated, and used according to best practices and safety standards What to
