In this role, you'll have the opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills while working in a collaborative environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Provide respiratory care services to patients in hospital-based and freestanding emergency/trauma centers.
+ Administer respiratory therapies under physician orders and established clinical protocols. + Perform advanced respiratory assessments and evaluations. + Deliver emergency and adult critical care respiratory interventions. + Conduct diagnostic respiratory testing and monitoring. + Perform noninvasive and invasive respiratory procedures with minimal oversight. + Exercise sound clinical judgment during unsupervised patient interactions. + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of patient care + Seasonal team member floats to 5 regional hospitals (Nov-Mar)
  • Education
  • + Technical Program Completion or Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Experience
  • + Acute Care experience required
  • Required Credentials
  • + Florida Respiratory Therapist (RRT) License + Active
NBRC RRT
Credential + BLS (Basic Life Support) + ACLS within 30 days of hire/transfer
  • Additional Credentials (If Applicable)
  • + PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer for pediatric critical care assignments + NRP within 6 months of hire/transfer for neonatal critical care assignments
  • Required Skills
  • + Advanced respiratory assessment and evaluation + Diagnostic testing + Emergency care + Adult critical care
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • + Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy + Membership with AARC and/or Florida Society for Respiratory Care (FSRC) + RRT-ACCS credential + RRT-NPS credential
