Minimum Qualifications:

Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related healthcare field. State licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the United States. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated clinical experience in respiratory care settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Healthcare Administration. Advanced certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS). Experience working in intensive care units (ICU) or emergency departments. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Strong background in patient education and counseling.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients' respiratory status through physical assessments and diagnostic tests. Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment to ensure safety and effectiveness. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
