Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on respiratory function, vital signs, and medical history to develop effective treatment plans. Operate and troubleshoot a wide range of respiratory equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory devices with technical proficiency. Manage airway interventions such as intubation, extubation, and airway clearance procedures in emergency and routine situations. Monitor patients' responses to therapy, adjusting ventilator settings and medication administration as needed to ensure safety and efficacy. Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate in critical & intensive care procedures within the skilled nursing facility. Document all patient interactions accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with hospital policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in geriatrics. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology concepts, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy. Proficiency in airway management techniques . Skilled in ventilator management for adults with acute or chronic respiratory conditions. Ability to perform patient assessment accurately while utilizing vital signs data for effective treatment planning. Familiarity with medical equipment operation and troubleshooting respiratory devices in our skilled nursing facility. Knowledge of emergency response protocols such as cardiac arrest emergency response procedures and medication administration in urgent situations.
