Role:
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care for patients across all age groups. This role provides advanced respiratory therapy services, including airway management, ventilator support, and emergency response, in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and hospital policies. The Respiratory Therapist plays a critical role in patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Vocational / Technical diploma / Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field. RRT/CRT valid Florida license. BLS
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) ACLS
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) PALS
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association) Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field. Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly in an emergency room. Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Skills & Competencies:
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emergency situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with respiratory therapy equipment and EMR systems. Commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
Working Environment:
Requires standing, walking, and lifting/transporting equipment and patients as needed. Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
