Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team as a Local Accepted professional. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional respiratory care to patients across various hospital settings, including critical care units, emergency departments, neonatal and pediatric units, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will support patient recovery by managing ventilators, conducting patient assessments, and delivering advanced respiratory therapies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills directly impact patient outcomes and well-being. Duties Assess patients' respiratory status by monitoring vital signs, blood gases, and lung function tests to develop effective treatment plans. Operate and troubleshoot a wide range of respiratory devices, including ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and airway management tools. Administer respiratory treatments such as aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, and medication delivery with precision and care. Manage airway emergencies by performing intubations, airway suctioning, and neonatal resuscitation procedures when necessary. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), and trauma centers to optimize patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies with appropriate life support measures including Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols. Qualifications Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification recognized for local acceptance. Proven experience in hospital environments with expertise in critical care settings such as ICU, PICU, NICU, or trauma centers. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology related to respiratory health. Hands-on experience with ventilator management and respiratory devices used in acute care scenarios. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and respond effectively to emergency situations like cardiac arrests or airway obstructions. Proficiency in operating medical equipment and managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems). Experience working with diverse patient populations including neonates, pediatrics, geriatrics, and outpatient cases. Knowledge of hospital medicine protocols such as neonatal resuscitation procedures and Level I & II trauma center standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Pay:
