A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Respiratory Therapist for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP certifications. Details Work in the Respiratory Care unit of a hospital's Level III NICU and PICU Night shift hours from 19:00-07:30 May float to Adult ICU, Med/Surg/Tele, Emergency Department, and General Pediatrics Every other weekend and holiday rotation required 13-week assignment length Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required Current BLS certification (AHA) Current PALS certification (AHA) Current ACLS certification (AHA) Current NRP certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) License required if applicable Current license with primary source verification completed within 30 days prior to assignment start Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients in a Level
