What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

We are looking for an experienced Full Time, Respiratory Therapist to join our Evansville location.
The Respiratory Therapist will:
Assist in collecting information and/or authorization if referral is from party other than the physician. Assess the needs of the patient and the best choice of equipment and/or services to meet those needs. Communicate with the patient, family, and/or caregiver in the selection of products. Instruct patients in the proper use and care of equipment according to the written policies and procedures for the equipment. Communicate with the patient's physician on changes in patient's condition and/or needs and will carry out adjustments to the patient's plan of care or treatment.Hours:

Education:
