What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Assessing patients with cardiopulmonary issues and recommending appropriate interventions Administering therapies such as medical gases, humidity, aerosols, hyperinflation, and bronchial hygiene Managing invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation Providing emergency care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop customized care plansQualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Associate's Degree program in Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC Current BLS CPR certification Open to new graduates and experienced RCPs, especially those with neonatal/pediatric or ECMO experience Skills and attributes: Strong clinical and operational competency Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team Commitment to ongoing professional development This role offers opportunities for career growth, a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and benefits including tuition assistance and relocation support.
