Approximately 10-12 patient visits per day Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Function Technologist (PFT) / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 16-week contract opportunity in Towson, Maryland . This role is based in a fast-paced outpatient Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine clinic . The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently and performing pulmonary diagnostic testing for adult and geriatric patients . Key Responsibilities Perform pulmonary function tests (PFTs) according to established clinical protocols. Conduct lung volume testing and related pulmonary diagnostic studies. Perform pulse oximetry and 6-minute walk tests . Prepare patients and explain testing procedures. Monitor patients throughout testing and maintain patient safety and comfort. Accurately document test results and patient information. Operate and troubleshoot pulmonary diagnostic equipment. Recognize abnormal patient responses and follow appropriate clinical protocols. Provide professional respiratory care support in an outpatient setting. Manage approximately 10-12 patient visits per day . Work independently while maintaining quality and accuracy in a busy clinic environment. Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant PFT/Respiratory Therapy experience . Active Maryland RRT license - Required . BLS certification - Required . Strong pulmonary function testing experience. Ability to work independently in an outpatient/ambulatory environment. Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patients . First-time travelers are welcome if they have strong relevant experience.
