About RevitalizeMe RevitalizeMe Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy & Wound Care is a physician-led, private outpatient center in Saginaw serving patients across the Great Lakes Bay Region. We treat complex and non-healing wounds and provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for FDA-cleared, CMS-covered indications, including diabetic foot ulcers, chronic refractory osteomyelitis, delayed radiation injuries, and compromised skin grafts and flaps. Our work centers on preventing amputations, helping wounds heal, and keeping patients out of the hospital. We treat in Sechrist hard acrylic monoplace chambers, follow FDA, CMS, and NFPA 99 safety standards, and work closely with the physicians who refer patients to us. We're a small team, so every person here has a real hand in how our patients do. The Role We're hiring a full-time Hyperbaric Technician to operate our chambers and guide patients safely through every treatment. You'll own the chamber side of the day: safety checks, patient preparation, compression and decompression, continuous monitoring, and documentation, all under the direction of our supervising physician. Most patients come in daily for several weeks, so you'll get to know them well. For many of them, you'll be the person who makes a demanding course of treatment feel manageable. What You'll Do Chamber operations and safety Perform daily, pre-treatment, and post-treatment chamber safety checks, including grounding and continuity testing, per NFPA 99 and manufacturer requirements Operate Sechrist monoplace chambers through compression, treatment, and decompression according to the physician's order and prescribed treatment profile Because our chambers are pressurized with 100% oxygen, screen every patient before every treatment for prohibited items, including clothing, dressings, devices, cosmetics, and personal belongings Deliver air breaks according to the treatment profile Clean and disinfect chambers using only manufacturer-approved, acrylic-safe products Maintain chamber logs, perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate equipment concerns to the Safety Director and manufacturer service Participate in emergency drills, including fire response and emergency decompression Patient care and monitoring Complete pre-treatment assessments: vital signs, blood glucose checks for diabetic patients, ear and sinus screening, and any changes since the last session Teach patients ear equalization techniques and what to expect, and help first-time or anxious patients feel at ease Monitor patients continuously during treatment for signs of ear or sinus barotrauma, oxygen toxicity, hypoglycemia, confinement anxiety, and other adverse events, respond per protocol, and notify the supervising physician immediately Complete post-treatment assessments before patients leave Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, and support the wound care team with non-licensed tasks such as dressing removal and reapplication, as delegated and within your scope Documentation and coordination Confirm a current physician order before each treatment Document every session accurately in the EHR, including safety checks, assessments, treatment parameters, patient tolerance, and any events Coordinate schedules with the clinical and front desk teams so patients stay on track to complete their full course of therapy Take part in safety meetings, quality improvement, and ongoing training What You Bring Required High school diploma or equivalent Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) Experience in a clinical or emergency role such as EMT, paramedic, respiratory therapist, LPN, surgical technologist, or military medic/corpsman Comfort operating medical equipment and following strict, protocol-driven procedures Ability to stay calm and act quickly and correctly in an urgent situation Clear, patient communication and accurate, consistent documentation habits Preferred Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) through the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) Completion of a UHMS-approved introductory hyperbaric medicine course Prior hyperbaric or wound care experience, especially with monoplace chambers ACLS certification New to hyperbarics?
